Formed in February 2004, Odyssey Accident Management is an independent organisation specialising in providing support to motorists involved in road traffic accidents. From the start, Tony Noden looked for a claims management system which would provide a strong foundation for his company. He needed a solution which was tried and tested in the credit hire market and he required a system which was also easy to use.

Tony contacted Bold Venture Computing and asked for a demonstration. He was impressed by the workflow and the way eMeritus reproduced standard letters. The time he was going to save in administrative costs was very attractive. He placed an order and within a week had a tailored copy of eMeritus on site. His staff found they could use the system straight away. They particularly liked the inbuilt document imaging into which they scan all the post in the morning.

Odyssey Accident Management provides like-for-like replacement vehicles to suit the needs of accident victims. When they are alerted to a claim, eMeritus is used to store details supplied by the claimant. The user then follows a series of pre-agreed steps to process the claim and the hire. This means that less qualified staff can process claims while more senior staff attend to complex or tricky claims.

When Odyssey arrange the repairs to the vehicle and provide legal assistance in the event of a personal injury claim or recovery of uninsured losses, they can keep a record of their actions. Details of their hire fleet, representing Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, and Porsche, are kept on eMeritus and can be linked to a claim at any time. Equally engineer, loss adjuster and body shop details can be stored in eMeritus data bank for reuse.
